Tulsi Vivah (तुलसी विवाह)

Tulsi Vivah is a sacred Hindu religious ritual in which Tulsi Mata (holy basil plant) is ceremonially married to Lord Vishnu in the form of Shaligram or to Lord Krishna. This ritual is especially performed on Dev Uthani Ekadashi (Prabodhini Ekadashi) in the month of Kartik and marks the beginning of the Hindu wedding season and other auspicious ceremonies.

During the ritual, Tulsi Mata is beautifully decorated like a bride, and the wedding ceremony is performed with proper rituals, Vedic chants, aarti, and prasad. Devotees organize this ceremony at homes and temples with great devotion and faith.

तुलसी विवाह एक पवित्र हिंदू धार्मिक अनुष्ठान है, जिसमें तुलसी माता का विवाह भगवान विष्णु के शालिग्राम स्वरूप या श्रीकृष्ण से कराया जाता है। यह अनुष्ठान कार्तिक माह की देवउठनी एकादशी (प्रबोधिनी एकादशी) के दिन विशेष रूप से किया जाता है और इसके साथ ही हिंदू विवाह एवं मांगलिक कार्यों की शुरुआत मानी जाती है।

इस पूजा में तुलसी माता को दुल्हन की तरह सजाया जाता है और विधिपूर्वक पूजा, मंत्रोच्चार, आरती तथा प्रसाद के साथ विवाह की रस्में संपन्न की जाती हैं। भक्तजन इस अनुष्ठान को घरों और मंदिरों में श्रद्धा और भक्ति के साथ आयोजित करते हैं।
