he Govind Dev Ji Mandir is a revered Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, situated within the majestic City Palace complex in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Constructed in the 18th century by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur, the temple enshrines the sacred deity of Govind Dev Ji, believed to be a manifestation of Lord Krishna.

The idol of Govind Dev Ji was originally worshipped in Vrindavan by Rupa Goswami, a prominent saint. To protect it from potential destruction during the Mughal era, the idol was secretly moved to Amer and later brought to Jaipur by Maharaja Jai Singh II in the early 18th century. The temple’s Satsang Hall holds the Guinness World Record for being the world’s widest concrete building, with a single-span roof measuring 119 feet. This pillarless hall can accommodate up to 5,000 devotees.

The temple remains open daily from 4:30 AM to 11:30 PM, allowing devotees ample opportunity for darshan and participation in various rituals.
