Diwali / Lakshmi Pooja (दीवाली / लक्ष्मी पूजा)

Diwali, also known as Deepavali, is one of the most important and auspicious festivals in Hinduism. On this day, Goddess Lakshmi, the divine deity of wealth, prosperity, and peace, is specially worshipped. It is believed that on the new moon day (Amavasya) of the month of Kartik, Goddess Lakshmi descends to Earth and blesses homes that are clean, well-lit with lamps, and filled with devotion.

The rituals of Lakshmi Puja include:

• Cleaning and decorating the entire house.

• Making rangoli and lighting diyas (lamps) at the entrance.

• Installing idols or pictures of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi.

• Performing puja at the auspicious time with chanting of mantras, offering lamps, incense, flowers, and sweets.

• Starting new account books or business records to invite prosperity.

Significance of Lakshmi Puja:

This puja is believed to bring abundance, remove negative energies, and ensure happiness, prosperity, and peace in life. It is considered highly auspicious for both family well-being and business growth.

दीवाली, जिसे दीपावली भी कहा जाता है, हिंदू धर्म का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण और शुभ त्योहार है। इस दिन माता लक्ष्मी, जो धन, समृद्धि और सुख-शांति की अधिष्ठात्री देवी हैं, की विशेष पूजा की जाती है। मान्यता है कि कार्तिक मास की अमावस्या को देवी लक्ष्मी पृथ्वी पर आती हैं और उन घरों में वास करती हैं जहाँ स्वच्छता, दीपक और भक्ति भाव होता है।

लक्ष्मी पूजा विधि में शामिल होता है:

• घर की पूरी सफाई और सजावट।

• दरवाजे और आंगन में रंगोली व दीप प्रज्वलन।

• गणेश-लक्ष्मी जी की प्रतिमा या चित्र की स्थापना।

• शुभ मुहूर्त में विधिपूर्वक पूजा, मंत्रोच्चार, दीपक, धूप, पुष्प और मिठाइयों का अर्पण।

• नए खाते-बही (लेखा-जोखा) की शुरुआत और व्यापार में शुभता की कामना।

लक्ष्मी पूजा का महत्व:

इस पूजा से घर में धन-धान्य की वृद्धि होती है, नकारात्मक शक्तियाँ दूर होती हैं और जीवन में सुख-समृद्धि तथा शांति का वास होता है। यह पूजा परिवार और व्यवसाय दोनों के लिए मंगलकारी मानी जाती है।
